U Sadlu II, Balbinova 22, tel 222 252 411, 2 minutes walk - A branch of the first U Sadlu, this place specializes in heaping portions of Czech cuisine. Very tasty, very good, very close. Out the door, left down to Vinohradska, left up Vinohradska for one block, left onto Balbinova, on the right hand side of the street.
Pasticka, Manesova 35, tel 222 253 466, 5 minutes walk – Another very good Czech pub with an outstanding garden in the back for those warm summer months. A good variety of Czech Cuisine for dinner. They also have a very good luncheon menu for under 100 CZK. Out the door, turn right, up Manesova, cross onto the left hand side, walk four blocks uphill
Amigos, Anny Letenske 16, tel. 222 250 594, 3 minutes walk – they like to call it Tex-Mex, we like to call it Czech-Mex, you can decide. The menu is bigger than a phone book. Out the door, turn right, up Manesova, cross onto the left hand side, walk three blocks uphill, on the corner of Manesova and Anny Letenske.
Louis Armstrong, 3 minutes walk, Italska 30, tel. 222 253 670 - A “cool” place to have dinner, the lights are low and the food is acceptable. The music is great if you like Jazz. And the waiters are super friendly. Out the door, turn right, up Manesova, cross onto the left hand side, walk two blocks uphill, on the corner of Italska.
Any place on Wenceslas Square is close, out the door, to the left, right on Vinohradska, cross under the highway behind the museum and then you are standing on Wenceslas Square, heart of Prague. There are plenty of hotels and restaurants on this boulevard.
